"Provide participants with information and support that is appropriate based on language, cognitive abilities, literacy level, learning style and cultural norms. Assess the healthcare needs of each participant and identify community resources. Identify barriers to access to health and mental care needs. Work in collaboration with participants and community partners to ensure that participants have a care plan that addresses any issues around COVID. Serve as an advocate for participants to navigate the systems in place for medical and mental health care needs. REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a health-allied field (nursing, PA, EMT, NP, MA) or social work related-fields, ability to work independently and exercise critical thinking skills with excellent judgment, strong and effective communication skills, strong organization and time management skills, aware of scope of boundaries and comfort with seeking direction and assistance from appropriate resources. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to meet participants “where they are” without judgment. Must be flexible, have a positive attitude and be both a team leader and team member. May be eligible to participate in the Student Loan Debt Relief program.
