Certified Nurse Midwife
MFM practice in Sunny Tampa, Florida Responsibilities Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join its Maternal Fetal Medicine practice in Tampa, FL.
- Our practice specializes in the care and treatment of women whose pregnancies are considered high risk
- Well established practice of over 20 years with continued growth
- Will consider an experienced WHNP or a CNM to support the 7 physician MFM practice
- This practice is both office and hospital based, with no delivery service
- Supports the OB Hospitalist and Neonatology teams at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa, which has a 76-bed Level-IV NICU and 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage
- Coverage also extends to patients at Advent, Morton Plant and Meese Countryside Hospitals
- Coverage to include a high risk clinic operated in conjunction with Baycare Health
- We enjoy a collaborative relationship with our OBGYNs, Midwives and Neonatology colleagues and hospital partners to provide outstanding local perinatal care
Responsibilities include:
- Assess, diagnose and provide care to patients with maternal-fetal conditions independently or collaboratively with the supervising physician
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests
- Participate in the patient and family education process
- Interact and communicate with referring providers and other patient care team members
- Some travel to satellite clinics, hospitals as needed
- Large volume of patients requiring prenatal diagnosis of various fetal abnormalities
- Previous experience in obstetrics is highly preferred
- Our ideal candidate will have a Florida medical license

Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Highly prefer previous experience with high risk patients
