    Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

    • Annual Base Salary: $147,000 – $199,000 (Based on experience)
    • Float Premium: Extra $15,000 per year (on top of base salary)

    Role Overview

    As a Float Provider, you are the "special forces" of our clinical team. Your flexibility ensures that our patient-centered mission continues seamlessly, regardless of operational shifts.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Clinical Versatility: Travel between assigned locations to provide coverage based on operational needs.
    • Direct Patient Care: Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures following NHC protocols.
    • Diagnostics & Planning: Order and interpret diagnostic tests; formulate comprehensive care plans and prognoses.
    • Collaborative Treatment: Discuss cases with providers to develop patient goals and refer to specialists as needed.
    • Pharmacology: Prescribe or recommend medications and therapeutic procedures (physical therapy, inhalation therapy, etc.).
    • Team Development: Identify training opportunities to promote growth within the clinical staff.
    • Patient Experience: Build patient confidence through courteous, accurate, and helpful behavior.

    Requirements, Qualifications, & Skills

    • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing
    • Licensure: Active California NP and RN licenses in good standing.
    • DEA: Current California DEA licensure (must be maintained).
    • Certification: Board Certified (ANCC/AANPCB) or board eligible (must obtain within 12 months).
    • Life Support: Current AHA-approved BLS (must include in-person, hands-on skills check).
    • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to adjust work locations on short notice.
    • Strong background in providing direct patient care in a Family Medicine setting.
    • Superior communication skills (verbal, written, and composition).
    • High level of ethics and discretion when handling confidential information.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to different clinical environments quickly.
