Internal Medicine Physician-Consultative Practice
The Division of General Internal Medicine provides consultative care for patients with complex medical issues and diagnoses to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. In addition to general internal medicine evaluations, our Division offers the opportunity to engage in specialty interests, such as Preoperative Evaluation Clinic and tumor intake, as well as be actively engaged in research.
The selected candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and maturity needed to care for our episodic ("non-primary care") patient population. Interests in advancing the science and practice of medicine within the division and the institution through research, education and innovative care models are added qualifications that will receive priority. This position includes an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and provides opportunities to educate medical students or residents in the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Program.
