Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Newborn Nusery

Full-time Newborn Hospitalist PNP Opportunity in North Dallas
Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a pediatric nurse practitioner to work with our newborn hospitalist group in Dallas! Our group is a part of a team that includes in-house neonatologists along with our affiliated group of neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, MFMs and pediatric surgeons who provide comprehensive newborn services at multiple hospitals.
Details:
- Provide 10-hour, in-house coverage in the newborn nursery, no call requirements
- Responsibilities include admissions and management of infants in the newborn nursery, delivery attendance, transitional care, circumcisions and consultations with families
- Neonatologist assistance/backup is provided as needed and in all high-risk situations
- Flexibility with interest in learning and a desire to teach are highly valued
- Opportunity to participate in education and quality improvement initiatives
- Unable to consider FNPs for this position

Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
