Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians and advanced practice providers at Covenant Children’s Hospital—the only licensed freestanding children’s hospital in West Texas and eastern New Mexico.
  • We are currently seeking local Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatric-trained physicians interested in moonlighting on a PRN basis in our Pediatric Emergency Department.
  • Enjoy a supportive, collegial environment with excellent nursing and hospital staff collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Family Medicine.
  • Must be eligible for Emergency Medicine or General Hospital privileges at Covenant Children’s Hosptial.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Scheduling:

  • PRN Coverage
  • Seasonal swing shifts available from October through March, with 12-hour shifts from 1 PM to 1 AM.
  • Double coverage provided during these shifts.
  • Traumas are managed by the Pediatric Emergency Medicine team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Our 16-bed emergency department, complete with 2 trauma bays, delivers exceptional care to children in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Deliver high-quality care in a Level II Trauma Center with seasonal adjustments to physician coverage (24–36 hours/day) based on patient volume.
  • Teaching opportunities with Pediatric and Family Medicine residents.
  • Work in a supportive environment with dedicated OB ED and excellent subspecialty support.
  • Access to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Bedside Ultrasound for efficient care delivery.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR to ensure efficient and effective patient documentation and communication—scribe coverage for 12 hours per day.

Compensation Details

Rewards and Benefits Compensation: * Independent contractor (1099) compensation model * Hourly rates: $285/hr (days), $305/hr (swing), $325/hr (nights) Malpractice Coverage: * Paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage
