Pulmonology, Critical Care Opportunity in Virginia
Mary Washington Hospital, a level II Trauma Center, located in Fredericksburg, VA. is looking for a full-time Board-Certified Pulmonology/Critical Care Physician to join our Intensivist team. With a closed 32 bed Surgical and Medical ICU, you will have the added support of a team of APP’s working closely with you to provide quality and continuous care of acutely ill patients. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive, multi-system care to general critical care patients, neurologically injured patients, and cardiovascular diseases. We have full surgical support from Neurosurgery, cardiac and thoracic surgery, acute care surgery with surgical ICU coverage, interventional radiology to assist with procedures as needed. We are in the process of working to develop a stroke thrombectomy service, residency program, and tele-ICU coverage for our affiliated hospital in Stafford.

QUALIFICATIONS • MD or DO degree • BE/BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine • Virginia State License, eligible • Strong clinical and procedural skills including intubation and line placement, among others • Strong communication skills with patients, families, co-workers, and consultants • Team player with commitment to providing quality, compassionate care
