Southern Ocean Medical Center (SOMC) currently sees approximately 350 annual deliveries and 525 unscheduled outpatient visits. The childbirth centers are staffed 24-7 with experts specially trained in labor and delivery, including Anesthesiologists, Board-certified obstetricians, Magnet®-recognized labor and delivery nurses and maternal-fetal medicine physicians who specialize in high-risk pregnancy. SOMC also offers expecting parents childbirth and infant care classes, as well as breastfeeding and lactation support.

This Full-Time Hospitalist Position Offers:

• W2 employment with guaranteed shifts scheduled 90 days in advance
• Flexible schedule / No on-call duty of office management
• 24 hr. shift model / 21+ days off a month

What Does an OBGYN Hospitalist Do?

• Handle Ob emergencies / Deliver babies
• Collaborate with local physicians
• Evaluate and treat triage patients
• Provide leadership on L&D
• Perform surgeries/ Surgical assists
• Care for unassigned patients
• Educate residents and Med students
