Associate Program Director (Ambulatory Faculty Position) HonorHealth Internal Medicine Residency Program

HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center, the hospital home-base of the residency program, has been recently ranked as the #3 Top Teaching Hospital in the nation by Forbes/IBM Watson Health.
The Ambulatory Faculty Physician’s responsibilities will include supervision of residents in the outpatient clinic, maintaining a small panel of continuity patients, provide periodic resident evaluation, continuous quality improvement, resident selection team and other scholarly activities. The APDIM will also have a very active role with curriculum development and instilling a lifelong passion for learning and growth development of the residents which may include advisor for book club, noon conferences, grand rounds and activities which support academic achievement.
This is a unique opportunity to bring your creative ideas to a program that welcomes innovation and individualism. As a smaller program with 18 IM Categorical and 4 Preliminary residents, faculty physicians are able to achieve a more personalized one-on-one interaction with each resident. The smaller residency program provides the foundation for faculty physicians to really understand each resident’s unique learning style to foster a positive experience in ambulatory patient care and create trust with patients based upon compassionate patient care and professionalism.
As a role model for residents in the clinical practice of internal medicine and to support the excellent reputation of HonorHealth in the community, it is critical faculty physicians support the mission and values of HonorHealth in all aspects of direct patient care and scholarly activities.
