Abdominal Transplant Surgery Within a Comprehensive Health System
Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Abdominal Transplantation and IU Health Physicians are actively recruiting a full-time abdominal transplant surgeon with a focus on liver transplant to join the faculty at the assistant, associate or professor level. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of surgeons and APPs providing exceptional surgical care within the Indianapolis area.
The main objective of this recruitment will be to support well established liver, intestine and multivisceral transplant section of the division. The liver and intestine transplant programs at IU Health are robust programs ranking in the top 10 nationally. One of a combination of following skills are desirable: experience in DCD NRP, living donor liver transplantation, or minimally invasive donor hepatectomy.
Clinical duties will include transplant surgeries, procurements and other related procedures. In addition, clinical teaching is the mainstay of educational duties with opportunities to interact with medical students, surgical residents, and fellows in the office, inpatient, and OR settings.
