Carilion Clinic- Breast Radiologist

Carilion Clinic is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained breast imaging Radiologist to join our practice in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Roanoke, VA.

Compensation and Other Benefits:

· Comp: $500,000.00 per year base with potential to make $600,000.00+ per year after bonuses

Radiologist Reporting Environment:

· SECTRA PACS

· EPIC EMR

· Qgenda online Radiologist scheduling

· Adjustable workstation tables (RedRick) – Table height and monitor height adjustable

· Optional treadmill available at some workstations

Imaging Equipment:

· MRI: Siemens 3T Vida, 3T Skyra, 3T Verio, 1.5T Aera (2). An additional 1.5T Sola will be installed in January 2025.

· Entire fleet of mammography systems (15 units) will be upgraded to Siemens B.Brilliant platform over next 4 years.

Case Mix and Collegial Workflow:

· Screening and Diagnostic Mammography

· Screening and Diagnostic Breast Ultrasound

· Screening and Diagnostic Breast MRI

· Breast related procedures including ultrasound guided biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, Savi Scout placement,

· Not Required: No after-hours call, no weekends.

· Collegial workflow including strongly encouraged and promoted consultations with other Radiologists through in-PACS image sharing and chat functions for difficult and unusual cases

Other Expectations:

· All Roanoke based Radiologists receive academic appointments at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine

· Light teaching requirements including medical students and non-Radiology residents

· Participation in tumor boards and practice quality improvement is expected

· Research as a principal investigator is NOT required. There are no requirements for scholarly publications.

Growing Clinic and Practice:

· $150 million new cancer center – with completion date in 2027

· $400 million expansion tower to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital - scheduled to open in 2025

· New 80,000 sq ft outpatient pediatric clinic opened in 2021

· New 37,000 sq ft mental health clinic opened in 2023

· Currently have state certificate of public need (COPN) approval to install 4 new CT scanners (2 in Roanoke and 2 at regional hospitals) and 1 new MRI scanner (Roanoke)
