Medical Director, Psychiatry with Telecare Corporation

The Medical Director is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the medical and psychiatric care provided at the facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that the care provided is consistent with best practice and meets Telecare’s standards of excellence. The medical director complies with the medical bylaws, rules and regulations and policies of Telecare.
Minimum 5 years clinical experience in the treatment of children and adolescents with serious mental illness, including those with comorbid medical and/or substance use disorders.
A medical degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association and successful completion of residency training program in psychiatry.
An active California Medical License, in good standing.
All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
Prior experience as a Medical Director is strongly preferred.
Experience supervising health care professionals.
Experience with Quality Improvement and Risk Management activities.
General: The Medical Director of the Program shall demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and during contact with internal and external stakeholders. Makes use of management practices that include empowerment of staff, the provision of clear and concise expectations regarding duties assigned employees, frequent feedback focusing on both positive and problematic aspects of work performance, and other management practices that are consistent with Continuous Quality Improvement.
