Join Our Bridgeton, Missouri Team as a Nocturnal Nurse Practitioner – A Role Designed for You

We believe in bringing “better” to our local community in Bridgeton, Missouri—better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We’d love to talk if you’re looking for a role that supports your professional growth and connection to a vibrant community.

We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

**People First in Bridgeton**

Local Team Collaboration:

  • At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul.  We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.
  • As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
  • Excellent subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse practitioner board certification required
  • New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Flexible Scheduling:

  • This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month.
  • Block schedule.
  • Our team enjoys the outdoors and all that St. Louis has to offer, from festivals to professional sports to excellent restaurants and music. Everyone finds something enjoyable to unwind and enjoy life when they are not working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
  • We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
  • The population we serve is very ill. The happiest team members thrive on complexity and high acuity, knowing they are making a difference with strong support around them at all times.

  • Our team is involved in many committees and projects throughout the hospital annually. We encourage everyone to find a committee that feeds their passion.
  • We like to support our greater local community by participating in food pantry drives each year and supporting hospital-championed initiatives to help those in need.
