PRN Pathologist Supporting Large Community Hospital - Near Washington D.C.
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking applications for a PRN AP/CP board certified pathologist. Special consideration will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of experience in independent sign-out and those who can contribute in one or more of the following disciplines: hematopathology, pediatric pathology, neuropathology, pulmonary pathology, head and neck pathology and bone and soft tissue pathology. There is a requirement to participate in the on-call schedule, frozen section interpretation and infrequent autopsy cases.
Clinical Laboratory services includes core laboratory, point of care testing, intraoperative satellite lab and outlying affiliated laboratories; and the transfusion medicine services include blood bank, therapeutic apheresis services, stem cell processing and blood donor services.
Completion of an appropriate residency program required; 3 years in the active practice of medicine preferred. Completion of Medical Doctorate required. Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia; medical specialty license or certification preferred.
