Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Direct Hire/FTE)
Performs a variety of general medicine health examinations including but not limited to, reviewing medical history and associated records, interpreting clinical data, completing written reports using Department of Veteran Affairs Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and documenting independent medical opinions (IMO). Examinations and medical reviews may be completed in person (in a clinic/administrative setting), in the veteran or service member’s home, telephonically, and using virtual telehealth platforms.
Required Education & Experience:
A Scope of Practice or Practice Plan, and any other requirements by the state of licensure for PA clinical practice, are submitted and approved by the appropriate licensing boards.
Master’s degree, Nursing or related field from either the ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) and/or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education).
Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Possess full-scope of practice and state licensure without any limitations in any capacity.
Experience conducting disability/occupational medicine examinations, preferably in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (post-graduate experience) is preferred.
