Assistant Professor of Clinical - Medicine, Infectious Diseases (MTI)

The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease and the Miami Transplant Institute has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Professor to serve as a full-time faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated faculty member interested in a Transplant Infectious Diseases especially for the care of lung and heart transplant recipients.

Job Functions:

• Provide direct patient care to adult outpatients in the Miami Transplant Institute faculty practice (including satellite clinics) and adult inpatients at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Coverage of inpatient consult coverage and weekend on-call service.
• Participate in the educational and training activities of the Infectious Disease Division.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree of M.D. or D.O. - Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply.
• Board certified/board eligible in the subspecialty of Infectious disease.
• Fellowship training in transplant Infectious Disease.
• Have recognized expertise in clinical care, teaching, and research.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Creole, desirable.
