The Geriatrics physician will:
- Provide clinical care and oversee the education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Provide quality care to both inpatients and outpatients for adults 18-65 and older adults age 65+
- Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, both clinical and administrative
- Serve as staff attending for sub-specialty consult service as assigned
- Systematically evaluate patient care programs in all Medicine venues
- Develop the initial plan of care and update plan as needed
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Identify acute/non-acute/chronic health problems
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with occasional on-call assignments
- Potential leadership opportunity!
Preferred Experience:
Board certified/board eligible in geriatric medicine and/or palliative care
Experience working in a nursing-home type facility
Experience working in palliative care

Compensation Details
$250-260k
You will enjoy: • This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases • Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) • Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA • Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) • Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory • CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) • Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
