PD Child and Adolescent Psychic
Near Hollywood, FL
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an experienced, board-certified physician to serve as the Program Director for a new Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. Three years of leadership experience is preferred. Research productivity is preferred but not mandatory. The role also requires a minimum of 3–5 years of post-training experience, and strong collaborative and leadership skills necessary to direct an academic training program within a large, integrated healthcare system. The position will report directly to the MHS Chief Academic Officer and the Chief of Child Psychiatry with a dotted line to the Psychiatry Residency Program.
This full-time position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) is designed for a physician who is passionate about education, program development, and advancing the future of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. The Program Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and launching a new fellowship program, working closely with the Graduate Medical Education (GME) department, residency program leadership, and the Chief Academic Officer to ensure high-quality, evidence-based training standards.
Once the fellowship is fully operational, the role will transition to a balanced schedule consisting of approximately 75% clinical responsibilities and 25% protected administrative time. Administrative duties will include curriculum design, accreditation preparation, faculty recruitment, trainee evaluation, and continuous program enhancement. The selected physician will also have opportunities to mentor residents and fellows, foster academic excellence, and support a multidisciplinary approach to behavioral health across the system.
This is a full-time opportunity within the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The role offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience and academic background. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
