Advocate Aurora Health is actively seeking an ED Hospitalist to join the growing Hospitalist service line with an opening at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Our Hospitalist service line with 120+ physicians, is one of the earliest programs established in the country. Our ED Hospitalist will work closely with our Emergency Medicine physicians, case managers, and social workers to coordinate the best place of care for our patients. Ideally seeking someone with Primary Care and Hospitalist experience, this position is for someone who is ready for a new challenge! Additional highlights of this position include;

  • 7 on / 7 off (Tues-Tues) schedule and shifts are 12P-10P
  • This position is to manage the Advocate Medical Group full risk patients who come to the ED
  • Physician will work closely with ED doc, case manager and social worker onsite to coordinate best place of care for the patient i.e. admitting to hospital, sending to SNF, redirecting to PCP or discharging/sending home.
  • The goal of this position is to help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and redirect care in most appropriate setting
  • On average 8-14 patients/day
  • Currently one another physician in this role at Christ
