Job Highlights
The University of California Irvine seeking Critical Care physician candidates for ICU/SDU coverage at our Los Alamitos Hospital site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care in the Medical ICU and step-down unit – 60%
- Consultation for Inpatient Critical Care Needs – 15%
- Supervision, Teaching, and Mentorship – 15%
- -Model professionalism and patient-centered care for APPs
- Communication and Family Engagement – 5%
- Quality Improvement, Safety, and Administrative Duties – 5%
Schedule:
168 shifts per year, equaling 3.5 to 4 shifts per week, each shift is 8.5 hours
Qualifications:
- M.D /D.O. or equivalent degree
- Current possession of an unrestricted CA Medical License or eligibility to obtain one
- Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
Benefits include:
- $444,150 - $519,750 compensation package based on qualifications, training, and experience
- $5,000 CME/Professional Funds stipend annually
- 18 days paid vacation (increases with years of service), 14 paid holidays, 12 days of sick leave annually
