Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC), part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Chair to lead its Department of Radiology. Candidates should have excellent management and interpersonal skills that will allow them to lead, grow and develop a department of highly skilled clinicians, researchers and support staff, along with a continued interest in the practice and advancement of Radiology.

The Department of Radiology at LHMC is comprised of more than 40 board certified radiologist staff physicians, 7 advanced practice professionals, and over 200 non-provider clinical staff with a total workforce of above 450. The Department has 9 subspecialty sections and a Division of Neuro-interventional Radiology. The department is active in medical student education, has a Radiology Training Program with 25 residents as well as advanced fellows in breast imaging, interventional radiology, and neuro-interventional radiology.

Applicants must be board certified in Radiology. A strong academic background that warrants appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor is desirable. Additionally, management with strong medical operational expertise and leadership training is desired. The incumbent will lead in the support of a strong culture of respect and belonging and work on the development and implementation of the BILH's ongoing diversity programs.

LHMC is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, an integrated health system that brings together academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, and more than 4,700 physicians and 39,000 employees in a shared mission to create healthier communities — one person at a time — through seamless care and ground-breaking science, driven by excellence, innovation and equity. LHMC is a 333-bed tertiary-quaternary facility, outpatient clinic and Level I trauma. LHMC is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of 500 physicians. We maintain several accredited residency and fellowship programs and are an academic affiliate of UMass Chan Medical School. LHMC achieved the MAGNET Hospital for Nursing Excellence designation. Conveniently located, Burlington, Massachusetts is 17 miles north of Boston and a short drive to the mountains, lakes and seaside of New England as well as cultural opportunities of Boston.
