We are hiring a daytime and a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our well-established team of 27 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center.
• Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
• As a smaller community hospital, we work closely with our hospital partners to make meaningful changes. We work closely with our colleagues in all departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.

Qualifications:

• Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Flexible Scheduling:

• The hospitalist team rotates through a fair share of day, swing, and night shifts.
• Day Shift: 7:00 am-7:00 pm, 10 physicians
• Swing Shift: 4:00 pm-4:00 am, 1-2 physicians
• Night Shift: 7:00 pm-7:00 am, 2 physicians

Key Responsibilities:

• Hospitalists do respond to codes but are not part of the Rapid Response team.
• Procedures that are required:
  • Paracentesis ( 2 per month)
  • Lumbar puncture ( usually less than one per month)
  • Thoracenteses, small bore chest tube ( 2 per month. But we can always consult a Pulmonologist for this).
