A healthcare center in Maine is looking for a Gastroenterologist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage while they seek to recruit a permanent provider.
** Practice Setting**
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient settings

A wide range of services offered, catering to the needs of patients in Maine and New Hampshire
- Charting: EPIC
- Manage an average of 12-14 office/clinic patients per day.
- Provide care for approximately 10-12 hospital-based patients per day.
Cases and Procedures

Perform required procedures including:
- Small Bowel Biopsy
- Lower GI Endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
Upper GI Endoscopy Procedures:
- With Biopsy
- With Foreign Body Removal
- With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser)
- With Injection of Varices
- With Banding of Varices
- Diagnostic
- Therapeutic
- With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
Schedule
- 4 days of patient care; 1 admin/office day per week
- Call is 1:4 on weekends and every third day during the week
** Job Requirements**
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Maine medical license
** Travel Accommodations**
