Lucrative Remote Alaska Native Village Locum Two-Week Rotations, ANY State License Accepted

Experience Multiple Communities within the System, and Steady Rotations. Great Money, Make $34,500 per month, $900 per day PLUS $250 per call shift, paid every day you are working in a village. Rotating positions month on, month off, or offer what works for you, client is looking to achieve continuity of care in multiple villages. Start any time and book out as far as you’d like.

A series of remote clinics located in SW Alaska need coverage for a 2, 3, 4 or 6-week rotations (longer is preferred) ongoing thru 2025. Create your own schedule as far out as you'd like! Daily rate, per diem, plus call-back pay adds up to over $1,000/day if you get called in after-hours. Hospital takes first call on emergency line. Very rewarding work to bring health care to these remote and underserved communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to utilize all your medical skills and provide much-needed care to these communities. This position is for primary care clinic and ER call; work solo when on-call with Community Health Aides (CHAP) for backup. Hospital in Anchorage will take first call, health aides take second call M-F. Physicians are just a phone call away or a short flight if needed! OBGYN experience is very helpful in these villages.

OVERVIEW:

Locum Tenens NP or PA

Primary Care, Urgent Care and Emergency, OB experience is highly preferred.

Outpatient Clinic M-F 8am - 5pm

Emergency call after-hours is shared

Hospital in Anchorage takes first call

Health Aides takes second call M-F

APP takes call Sat-Sun

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

Pay: $905.15 ($839.78/day plus per diem $65.37)

Call-back pay $125/hr

Paid 7 days a week

Paid travel days at daily rate plus per diem

Paid holidays and weather delay days

W-2 position (W2 with the Tribal Health Organization, not WMS).

Medical malpractice insurance provided

Housing and travel expenses included

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Any state license is accepted because you become a temporary employee of the THO

BLS, ACLS, ATLS required, PALS preferred

Active DEA Registration

Primary care, urgent care and emergency experience

OB is highly preferred

Remote medicine experience

Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience required.

Must have direct patient care experience with stabilization and medevac, including intubations, chest tubes, complicated airways and strong suturing skills.
