    About the position:

    At AMOpportunities (AMO), we partner with DO, PA, and NP schools and students who need quality clinical rotations to ensure they are properly trained.

    As an AMO preceptor, you can host the types of students that best fit your practice for when you are available. Preceptors are expected to facilitate a program including observation, patient interaction, didactic learning, case presentations, and/or research.

    Your program will be designed to fit the needs and availability of your practice. AMO handles all marketing, application collection, clinical trainee support, and administrative work so that you can focus on the most important part, teaching! This is a contracted

    position; preceptors are paid a stipend upon a medical trainee’s successful program completion.

    Essential Functions:

    • Must be able to precept a minimum of 35 hours/per week
    • Ensure all observation or hands-on activities involving patients are supervised
    • Timely responsiveness of requests and required school documents (affiliations,
    • evaluations, forms etc.)
    • Adhere to AMO and AMO’s school partners standards of professionalism as outlined in our affiliation agreement

    Skills/Experience:

    • Be a licensed physician, PA or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida in good standing
    • Be boarded in your practicing specialty or have PA-C status
    • Practicing in one of the following specialties; pediatrics, surgery, emergency medicine, women’s health, behavioral health, surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, hospitalist or any specialty working with rural/underserved populations.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others

    Compensation

    • Part time, stipends start at $250/wk/student – Medical Students
    • $125/wk/student – PA students
    • Hourly for NP and other student types available
