As a Level II Special Care Nursery designated facility, United Regional is able to provide care for infants with a 30-week or longer gestational age and a birth weight of greater than 1,250 grams who have physiologic immaturity, or who have problems that are expected to resolve rapidly and are not anticipated to require sub-specialty services on an urgent basis. In the Special Care Nursery, we collaborate with trained pediatricians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation services and neonatal nutritionists to care for infants so that they can remain in our community without separation from their moms and dads while they receive the specialized care they need.
- Neonatologist covers level II NICU and newborn nursery
- Hospital in partnership with Pediatrix working towards level III NICU designation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns in the level II NICU
- Enjoy a supportive worke environment and access to advanced technology in the state of the art NICU facility
- Provide family-centered care care and support t parents during their newborn's NICU stay, fostering strong communication and collaboration
- Opportunity to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in clinical research projects aimed ad advancing neonatal care
Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
