Job Highlights
We are seeking a Board-certified Family Medicine Physician to work 3-5 days a week at our Floyd Clinic providing care to the underserved.
About the role:
- Provide complex direct medical care of patients (in person and through technology), including older adults, individuals with two or more chronic medical conditions, and people experiencing difficult social drivers of health.
- Practice independently with oversight provided by the Medical Director. No call and no weekends.
- Operate in accordance with the terms and conditions of the various contracts and grants providing for the funding of programs and projects.
- Pay will be based on training and experience. We provide an excellent benefits package. Loan repayment eligibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or the Committee on Hospitals of the Bureau of Professional Education of the American Osteopathic Association.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Licensed to practice medicine by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- DEA license.
- Medicare PIN and UPIN numbers.
- Medicaid number.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or by similar Board.
- Desire to work for a mission-driven organization.

Required testing and immunizations:
- TB
- Hepatitis B (consent or waiver)
- Tdap
- MMR
- Varicella
- Influenza vaccines will be required according to dates set by the CDC and Virginia Department of Health

Tri-Area Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center headquartered in Laurel Fork, Virginia, with locations in Cana, Ferrum, Floyd, Fries, Laurel Fork, Stuart, Troutdale, and school-based sites in Galax and Carroll County. Compensation Details
$230-270k
** Estimated compensation range based on 40 hour week and experience/training ** Signing bonus ** Paid health insurance for employee (and family at 4-5 days/week) ** Company contributions to HSA / FSA ** 401K - up to 4% match ** Malpractice insurance covered ** Medical and DEA licenses covered ** CME allowance and 5 paid days ** Additional benefits available including paid time off
