- BIOGRAPHY: Anthony Dippolito, MD, MBA, FACS
Dr. Dippolito was a native of Philadelphia. He obtained his BS in Biology from Fairfield University in Fairfield Connecticut. He completed his Medical Degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. With interests in Surgery Dr. Dippolito undertook and completed a five year residency in Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital (Drexel University) in Philadelphia, Pa. After initially practicing Surgery in Southern New Jersey, he later completed Fellowship Training in Colon & Rectal Surgery at Mercy Hospital (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Dippolito is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery and also has an MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Clinically, since completing his training in Colon & Rectal Surgery in 1986, Dr. Dippolito has been in Private Practice in the Lehigh Valley. He has specific surgical interests in Colon/Rectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Diverticular Disease and Anorectal Disorders.
He also has interests in Healthcare delivery systems and is a member of Congressman Peter Sessions’ National Physicians’ Council for Healthcare Policy.
Dr. Dippolito has developed and operates an Ambulatory Surgical Center in the Lehigh Valley for which he currently is the Medical Director.
Academically, Dr. Dippolito provides lectures in Surgery to medical students at Temple and Drexel Universities and has had multiple journal publications in Surgery and Colon Rectal Surgery.
