Summary

  • RETIRED from active clinical practice in 2008 after more than 49 years in the US Army. Currently serve as an Expert Consultant in Telemedicine, Clinical Investigation, Pediatrics, and Rheumatology. Developed the oldest, longest-running humanitarian telemedicine program in the world, the Pacific Island Health Care Project (PIHCP). The PIHCP provides medical care to underserved indigenous peoples from the US Associated Pacific Islands (USAPIs): American Samoa, Guam, CNMI, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia (Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap States) and provides unique graduate medical education to residents and staff at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC).
