Summary

  • I am a board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist focusing on pediatric brain tumors. In addition to clinical expertise, I lead a research group of post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and laboratory assistants focused on investigating and disrupting key genetic pathways that drive the most aggressive pediatric brain tumors. We have research interests and on-going collaborations in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, glioblastoma, medulloblastoma, atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor, and aggressive low grade glioma. The discovery and deployment of new treatments for these high risk brain tumors is the focus of my research and clinical energies.
