• Dr. Newman serves as Chief Medical Officer, Quality and Risk at WellMed – Optum/United Health Care’s largest care delivery organization in the U.S.; with over 850,000 patients and 18,000 employed and affiliated providers.
  
  Previously, he served as the National Urgent Care Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Operations for Concentra, supervising the clinical operations in over 300 centers across 44 states. His role has expanded to include the National Quality Medical Director for all clinical sites at Concentra; adding over 250 worksite locations and 50 primary care clinics.
  
  Dr. Newman also served as President, Urgent Care Association of America Board of Directors 2013-2015 representing over 9,000 members internationally and was honored to be selected as the recipient of the American Academy of Family Physicians 2015 National Physician Executive of the Year Robert Graham Award.
