Summary

  • Dr. Sarah Miller, board certified infectious diseases specialist, received her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in the Division of Infectious Diseases.

In 2012, Dr. Miller opened Neudorf Infectious Diseases Clinic (NIDC) in Conroe, Texas to provide care to the community and surrounding area. She holds clinical privileges at Conroe Regional Medical Center and Cornerstone Hospital of Conroe, and also provides care to patients at local rehab facilities.

Dr. Miller specializes in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases, including recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI), pneumonia, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, endocarditis, bacteremia, fever of unknown origin, C. difficile colitis, tuberculosis, atypical mycobacterial infections, fungal infections, and sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Dr. Miller is experienced with wound care and debridement, as well as incision and drainage of cutaneous abscesses. She also provides longitudinal care for patients with HIV/AIDS and chronic viral hepatitis.

Leg wounds are commonly caused by circulation problems. In clinical practice, Dr. Miller has seen several patients with chronic wounds that are difficult to heal and often become infected. When these wounds are caused by vein disease, they may never resolve without treatment of the underlying vein disease. Vein disease is very prevalent, and can also cause tired, aching legs and unsightly leg swelling and bulging varicose veins. After identifying this as a major problem affecting many of her patients, Dr. Miller pursued additional training in a non-surgical, minimally-invasive approach to treating vein disease with endovenous radiofrequency ablation of varicose veins.
