Summary

• After practicing General Internal Medicine for 15 years, I got tired of hearing other doctors complain about Managed Care. In 1995, I began a career as a Physician Executive. Over the next 3 decades, I worked for 3 national Healthcare companies in just about every capacity possible for a Medical Director. My favorite position was heading the clinical coverage policy & emerging technology department at Great-West Healthcare from 2003 - 2008. In early May, 2020, I started my present position, back with UnitedHealth Group at Optum in an area that has always fascinated me, management of specialty pharmacy and Biologic treatments.
