  • Dr. Samuel Cooper is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in gynecological, pediatric and hematological cancers. He has brought innovative treatments to the people of South Carolina. He has also been instrumental in developing programs for MR guided interstitial brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies, eye plaque brachytherapy for ocular tumors, interstitial brachytherapy for keloids and breath hold treatments for lymphomas of the chest and abdominal radiosurgery. In addition, Dr. Cooper has been involved in clinical trial development.

    Dr. Cooper is the program director of the radiation oncology resident training program at MUSC, and enjoys working with residents to both improve the care of his patients and educate future radiation oncologists. He is active in several national scientific and professional organizations including the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Radium Society, the American Brachytherapy Society, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the Children's Oncology Group and NRG Oncology.
