Summary

  • Dr. Aaron C. Lentz is a Professor of Urology in the Duke University Department of Urology. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before pursuing a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at Duke University. Dr. Lentz is the founder and director of the Duke Urology Men’s Health Center, where he specializes in complex urethral stricture disease and prosthetic urology, including penile implants for erectile dysfunction, artificial urinary sphincters, and minimally invasive slings for male stress urinary incontinence. A dedicated surgical educator, Dr. Lentz has collaborated nationally to enhance training programs in prosthetic urology. He is the director of the Duke SMSNA Fellowship in Advanced Prosthetic Urology and Sexual Health.

    In addition to his clinical and research work, he serves as Chief of Surgical Services at Duke Raleigh Hospital and is faculty for the Duke Urology Genitourinary Reconstructive Fellowship. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA) Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association (SESAUA), the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS), the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM), the and the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS).
