Summary

• I’m an academically trained medical doctor and physician scientist, formally trained at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and University of Missouri Health Care. During medical school, I completed a 1-year infolded family medicine and general practice residency, and contributed to several research studies, peer-reviewed publications, and community service projects. After graduating from medical school with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors, I completed nearly four years of neurosurgery residency training at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, then moved to California in June 2017 to gain experience in the biotechnology industry and apply for a California medical license.
  
  After moving to California, I began working as a consultant for a startup medical cannabis biotechnology company, GreenTech Laboratories. I later joined EVIO Laboratories, a state-licensed medical cannabis testing laboratory, to gain experience with government regulatory cannabis safety testing and public health policy, and am currently the lab manager of our Berkeley facility. After accruing significant experience in the biotechnology industry, I applied for my medical license, and was granted it in April 2019. I am fully credentialed, including active DEA registration, Medicare enrollment, and malpractice insurance.
  
  Personally, I was born and raised in the Midwest, United States. During my youth, I was raised in the suburbs of the Twin Cities, Minnesota, before attending college in Iowa, medical school in Illinois, and residency in Missouri. I was raised by loving parents, a father who is a medical doctor, and a mother who teaches music and language to children. Values were a significant part of my childhood upbringing, including truth, honesty, integrity, and respect, and I am dedicated to living my life based on these core values and principles.
