- Allison Hanlon, MD, PhD is a board certified Dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. Dr. Hanlon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in the Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame. She earned her medical degree and doctorate in Immunology from Temple University School of Medicine. After completing her internship in Internal Medicine at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, she studied Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Hanlon was an assistant professor at Yale University where she focused on patient care, research and teaching. She returned to Middle Tennessee as a physician with Nashville Skin and Cancer.
As an educator, Dr. Hanlon has authored articles and book chapters regarding dermatology and dermatologic procedures. She lectures internationally on surgical techniques, skin cancer treatments and skin cancer in patients with compromised immune systems.
Dr. Hanlon serves as a committee member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
