    Dr Abdelgawad wrote more than 100 papers and book chapters. His work had been cited more than 800 times. Dr Abdelgawad described new technique for treatment of Blount’s disease, a new method for intra medullary nail extraction, a new technique for obtaining bone graft, a new technique for fixation of calcaneal tuberosity fracture and a new method of fixation for pediatric distal femur fractures. Dr Abdelgawad has two patents for orthopedic devices.

    With the extensive training that Dr Abdelgawad had, he is able to treat various pathological conditions. He is expert in pediatric orthopedic conditions, spasticity management, difficult fractures, nonunions, malunion, foot deformities, diabetic foot defomities, limb length discripancy, pathological short stature, hip deformities and many other conditions.
