Dr. Bih Tambi has been in private practice since 2013. She moved from Las Vegas to Jacksonville in 2015 after completing her residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine Reno.
Dr. Tambi is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a distinguished fellow of The American Psychiatric Association. She has kept up with current and innovative behavioral health treatment protocols and guidelines and has a wealth of experience practicing in several settings including inpatient psychiatric facilities, intensive outpatient programs, medical facilities as a consultant, substance abuse treatment centers and private practice.
She has worked extensively with patients who struggle with common psychiatric conditions and substance abuse issues. She also helps patients in the Jacksonville area with emotional and behavioral conditions related to alcohol and other drugs. She prescribes Suboxone/Subutex as well as Naltrexone (Revia). She is an active member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
She is also a trained and certified weight-loss provider and focuses on helping patients regain their sense of who they are, reducing the direct correlation between weight-related issues and poor coping skills, eating disorders and other psychiatric symptoms.
