Summary

  • Dr. Pridgen is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with subspecialization in microsurgery, hand, and upper extremity surgery. After graduating as valedictorian from North Carolina State University with a degree in chemical engineering, he attended medical school at Stanford University. He remained at Stanford for residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He then completed a combined orthopedic and plastic surgery fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, a renowned center for hand and upper extremity fellowship training due to its high volume of complex hand trauma.

His clinical interests in hand and upper extremity surgery include fracture care from the distal radius to the fingers, wrist arthroscopy, arthritis, Dupuytren’s, tendon surgery, vascular disorders including Raynaud’s and scleroderma, and complex trauma requiring microsurgical reconstruction. Additionally, he has an interest in peripheral nerve surgery, including compression neuropathy, nerve transfer, nerve repair, and treatment of neuromas and painful amputation sites with targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) and regenerative peripheral nerve interface (RPNI).
