Summary

  • I am a cardiologist with great interest and hands on experience in echocardiography and interventional echocardiography, 3D TEE in structural heart disease.
My goal as Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, is to lead our main hospital campus lab in Downtown Jacksonville, FL, and 4 comprehensive satellite labs in our peripheral locations from Fernandina Beach to St Augustine, FL, in a empowering and efficient manner to provide the highest quality of care for patients. We have a robust and high quality Structural Heart Program, with a team-oriented approach between Non-Invasive Imaging specialists, Clinical and Interventional Cardiologists, and Cardiac Surgeons. I have implemented advanced imaging techniques, including 3D reconstruction, interventional echocardiography, and myocardial strain imaging. In 2019, we also formed a Cardio-Oncology relationship with Baptist MD Anderson.
My latest projects and interests involve population health initiatives on managing chronic heart diseases, and remote patient monitoring to identify patients that need closer follow up and more advanced cardiac care, on a timely, and cost effective manner.
