Served 9 years active duty, USAF, during which internship, residency. Fellowship in Los Angeles, Otological Medical Group (House Ear Institute) followed by 33 years active private practice Otology & Neurotology, establishing Otologic Center for profit and in 1980, non-profit 501(c)(3) Midwest Ear Institute for development of cochlear implantation where I have volunteered since its origin. Published peer reviewed reports of my work and became active nationally in senior specialty societies, ultimately becoming an American Board of Otolaryngology senior examiner for 5 years. Removed over 400 acoustic tumors and placed Midwest Ear Institute 1000th cochlear implant, August 2011. Retired from Otologic Center, May 2009, but continue volunteer cochlear implantation. Joined in 1987 by another Neurotologist and two others in the past 5 years. OTO, Inc. formed as retirement corporation prior retirement.
