Summary
- Board Certified Family Medicine Physician, US Army Flight Surgeon with 11+ years of Active Duty Army Service, 4+ years in private practice, and now working as a DoD Civilian Provider at Ft. Stewart, GA since 2021. I have been a Hospice and Home Health Medical Director and sat on the Board of Directors of TENNOVA Hospital in Clarksville TN for 1 year prior to moving to GA. I like complex disease management, geriatrics, psychiatry, headaches, sleep medicine, diabetes, hypertension, respiratory, cardiac, rheumatology, dermatology, orthopedics, allergy treatment, minor surgical procedures, and rare diseases. Currently I provide adult inpatient and pediatric and adult outpatient care. I did full scope Family Medicine for most of my carrier, but I no longer manage pregnancy or deliver babies. I am very passionate about taking care of prior service Soldiers and their spouses. I love my patients to be an active part of their healthcare. I like to use as new technology to improve patient management and health. I have virtual encounters and face to face appointments. I currently only see patients eligible for care at Winn Army Community Hospital. I have experience in Trauma, Aviation, ICU care, Clinic Management. I believe in listening to my patients, educating them on their health, and shared decision making. I absolutely love to learn new things and teach Medics, Nurses, NP's, PA's and Medical Students. I am a medical doctor and do not just refer out everything for diagnosis and treatment, unless I truly need a specialists knowledge, time, a special test, or surgical procedure, they are needed for truly complex patients or going to the OR. I will do pain management medications, weigh loss medications, and alcohol abuse treatment for highly motivated and compliant patients only. Getting into my clinic can be difficult as I book quite far out, due to have provider shortages in the area, and the complexity of my patient population. I still enjoy medicine!
