  • Dr. Eric Mazur is a hematologist-oncologist living in Avon, CT. He was Chair of Medicine and CMO at Norwalk Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 2014. Previously, he was Chief of Hematology at Miriam Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at Brown University. For over 10 years he ran a partially NIH-funded laboratory studying human megakaryocytopoiesis. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1975 and practiced for 42 years. He specialized in hematology, oncology and internal medicine and currently is part of the volunteer teaching faculty at the University of Connecticut.
