  • I am a board certified pediatrician, pediatric neurologist, and newborn intensivist. I was trained and was on faculty at Children's Hospital-Boston until 2003 and then moved to UCSD and the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. I am also a stem cell biologist (director of the stem cell program and stem cell research center at the Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute.
