  • Dr. Gary R. Zeevi received his medical degree from Yale University. He completed an internship and residency in medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed fellowships in cardiology with cardiac catheterization and a separate fellowship in interventional procedures all at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
    Dr. Zeevi is currently the Medical Director of Bon Secours Advanced Heart Failure Center and specializes in providing advanced treatment options for patients diagnosed with heart failure. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease, and the subspecialty board in Heart Failure and Transplantation. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
    Dr. Zeevi chaired the Bon Secours Virginia Clinical Heart Failure Council which oversees several systemic projects re-engineering heart failure therapy delivery across the continuum of care. Dr. Zeevi has published a number professional journal articles including an academic thesis while at Yale.
    He has served as Chairman of the Bon Secours Richmond Ethics Committee for 2 years. He was the vice-chair of the Bon Secours IRB, and served on the Board of Directors of the Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services.

    He currently is with the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic of the Sentara Heart Hospital, part of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

    He holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine (community) at Eastern Virginia Medical School

    Among other organizations, he currently is a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine, Medical Society of Virginia, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, the Heart Failure Society of America and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
