  • I am a board certified Pediatric Cardiologist, Co-Director of the Pediatric Heart Institute at the Monroe Carell,Jr. Children's Hospital of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. I fun an actively funded NIH funded research laboratory focused on My laboratory has concentrated on delineating the molecular basis of vascular development in the mammalian embryo as an approach to understanding the etiology of congenital heart disease. Our ultimate goal is to exploit developmental mechanisms to inform the therapies for postnatal diseases.
