Summary

  • My clinical interests currently span the specialty including complex pelvic surgery for cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and anorectal disease. Research interests include healthcare delivery for underserved populations (anal cancer, medically comorbid surgical patients) with attention to how clinical decision support can leverage better surgical decision-making. Much of my research uses nontraditional methodological tools such as decision analysis, behavioral economic models, and implementation performance measures. My research aims evolve around how we actively and passively motivate individuals to adopt best practices. Additionally, I am looking to expand beyond clinical practice globally --- specifically helping organizations design, implement, and expand health care delivery solutions for both the industrialized and developing world.
