Summary

  • Dr. Marshall is pleased to serve the Cook Children’s Health Care System as its Chief Research Officer, an active investigator, and a practicing Pediatric Intensivist. After undergraduate and graduate education at Saint Louis University and Tulane Medical School, respectively, Dr. Marshall completed pediatric residency at Stanford University followed by dual fellowships in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Thereafter, at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO, he practiced critical care medicine while maturing as a pediatric clinical trials expert, the Associate Clinical Pharmacologist of the Department of Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Medicine. Upon matriculating to Cook Children’s Medical Center, Dr. Marshall developed a collaborative, integrated system of pediatric research management which provides the entire range of support services, operational and business, to its burgeoning multi-specialty research programs which span nearly the entire spectrum of pediatric primary through quaternary care. Dr. Marshall believes that providing innovative care of the highest quality to infants and children, whether through research-driven therapeutic algorithms and drug/device development or direct patient care, is his primary goal as an executive and practitioner at Cook Children’s.
