- Dr. Davis is Practice Chair and Vice Chair of the Division of Rheumatology and Professor of Medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Davis’s research focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with early inflammatory arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Dr. Davis is the principal investigator of the Mayo Clinic Early Arthritis Cohort Study that aims to discover novel diagnostic and prognostic markers for individualized disease-modifying therapy for patients with early RA using multi-omics approaches. He is leading an investigation into the mechanisms
of persistent pain in patients with RA using functional neuroimaging. Dr. Davis collaborates on several other research projects, including studies of gene-environment interactions in RA pathogenesis, the effects of multimorbidity on RA outcomes, and the impact of RA on the risk of cognitive impairment and dementia.
